The development application (DA) for approval of the Oxley Priority Development Area (PDA) Masterplan and Stage 1 development, was lodged in February 2020.
A range of reports and documents were prepared for, and submitted with, the development application including but not limited to landscape plans, traffic impact assessment, civil engineering report, stormwater management plan, geotechnical report, ecology assessment, bushfire management plan and vegetation clearing and fauna management plan.
The application and supporting documents can be viewed online by searching DEV2020/1099.
A public notification period is to run for a 21 business day period from 8 April to 11 May 2020, giving the community a formal process to have their say on the proposal.

Oxley secondary college closed and was declared surplus to government needs in 2001.
Community newsletter 1 was distributed to 9500 local households and businesses about community engagement opportunities.
An online survey was available for residents and the community to complete.
Two 'talk to a planner' information sessions were undertaken, plus a facilitated community-led engagement process.
EDQ established a Community Panel to facilitate community knowledge session.

A cluster of 8 small sink holes were identified on the site. Detailed geotechnical investigations commenced and initial rectification works completed. Monitoring and treatment of sink holes and critical landslip remains ongoing.
Community newsletter 2 outlining the results of the engagement activities undertaken to date was distributed.
EDQ met with interested and community organisations regarding inclusion in the development plans.
The Queensland Government launched the Advancing our cities and regions strategy, which will see surplus and underutilised state property renewed and repurposed. Under this strategy Oxley is identified as a South-East Queensland urban renewal precinct.
