Construction Update January 2024

We wish to notify you that the Songbird Oxley, Stages 2B & 2D (DEV2021/1191) package of works is due to commence on 29 of January 2024 and anticipated to be completed by May 2024, subject to inclement weather and/or industry delays.

Stages 2B & 2D project scope includes the demolition of the old C&K childcare building footprint (following their relocation to their new centre within the stage 1 Songbird development area), remaining tree clearing, associated earthworks (allotments, roadworks and open space areas) and construction of a small road extension and accompanying civil services to complete Kingfisher Circuit.

During the stage 2B and Stage 2D works, there will be added truck movements along Seventeen Mile Rocks Rd and infrequent HV traffic along Fort Rd/Blackheath Rd whilst completing the demolition and earthworks scope of works. Light vehicle traffic and access to the site will now be through the old C&K access driveway throughout the construction period.
