Construction Update - October 2019

Works to complete demolition of the former Yeronga TAFE site are continuing, with ENERGEX advising EDQ they will begin disconnecting the existing transformer around Thursday 17 October 2019.

Works to then demolish and remove the building will commence shortly after and will continue for approximately six weeks, weather and construction conditions permitting.

These demolition and removal works will be undertaken in accordance with the relevant legislation and safety guidelines, as per all other demolition works previously undertaken on site.

During these works, residents and businesses near the site may experience construction noise, dust, vibration and truck movements. Where necessary, traffic controllers and signage will be in place to assist with truck movements and to assist road users and pedestrians safely around the site.

We appreciate your patience while these works are completed.

If you have any questions in relation to these works, please contact us through the Have your Say website, or email edqengagement@dsdmip.qld.gov.au

Kind regards
The Yeronga Project Team
