The Honourable Dr Steven Miles, Deputy Premier, Minister for State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning and Minister Assisting the Premier on Olympic and Paralympic Games Infrastructure announced further details on this project.

Key highlights include:

• Construction is underway to convert vacant student rooms into short-term accommodation at Mount Gravatt
• Works include repurposing and refurbishment of the existing floor plan
• Construction is expected to be finished in mid-2023
• The works are an outcome of Queensland’s housing roundtable and summit and are part of the Palaszczuk Government’s investment to ease housing pressures and get more Queenslanders into homes
