Rockhampton CBD
Consultation has concluded
Since 2016 the state government has been partnering with Rockhampton Regional Council (council) to investigate the development of a parcel of council owned land in William St, Rockhampton.
Economic Development Queensland (EDQ), the state government’s specialist land use planning and property development unit, led the investigation, at no cost to council, thoroughly considering a range of development options and concepts for the site.
Due to several factors, including an assessment of current market conditions, EDQ and council have agreed to suspend further investigations.
Council will retain full ownership of the site and will explore options and opportunities for redevelopment at a later stage.
